Background
The field Assistant will report directly to the Project Manager. The person in this position will be responsible of the implementation of the project activities in the targeted areas, facilitate the going of the project through coordination with related governmental entities, and ensure the quality of the registration and verification process. Furthermore, provide all the logistic support and during the implementation of the project activities. Represent YLDF and the project actively in all related meetings (Cluster and working groups) in the designated governorate.

Essential Job Responsibilities
1. Be directly responsible for the implementation of the YLDF project activities in the targeted districts.
2. Be directly responsible for the coordination with the related governmental entities
3. Responsible for field budget management and that all expenditures are in line with the approved budget, YLDF and donor compliance standards.
4. Ensuring activities are in the planed time frame, work plan and budget.
5. Work with the project team to formulate detailed implementation plans, risk management plans and spend plans.
6. Facilitate the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning processes for the project and MEAL team ensuring that quality of the implementation is maintained as per agreed standards, lessons learnt are documented.
7. Effectively use appropriate tools to ensure project is delivered on-time, on-budget and to the expected quality.
8. Maintain regular communication with project team, support and operations department concerning to facilitate the implementation of the project activities.
9. Lead coordination with any Service Providers and their agents for timely transfers and reporting.
10. Facilitate team access to tools for use in beneficiary selection processes, registration, training, disbursement and monitoring
11. Provide weekly update, monthly report, both narrative & quantitative when needed.
12. Develop productive working relationships with representatives, Government, Non-Governmental institutions and other project partners.
13. Maintain the highest standards of behavior when working with the project team, beneficiaries, and targeted communities.
14. As and when requested, represent YLDF in external forums, ensuring the YLDF profile is positively maintained as per YLDF values, objectives, strategy and advocacy plan. This includes proactively representing in cluster coordination meetings and maintaining contact with relevant local authorities and other agencies; ensuring that YLDF mandate, vision, approach an activity is understood and accepted.
Implementation:
1. Be directly responsible for the coordination with the local authorities and issuance of any needed permits prior to the implementation of any activities.
2. Direct supervision during the registration and verification process of the beneficiaries ensuring the quality of the process. Addressing any needs or concerns on a timely manner.
3. Logistic preparations prior to the conduction of any training/ activity that includes, coordinate with the procurement department to provide all the requirements for any trainings/ activities, Contact of beneficiaries prior to the conduct of any trainings/ activities).
4. Attend all trainings/activities on a daily basis to facilitate and address any needs during the implementation.
5. Ensure that all documents are well archived and submitted to project team (Originals and in compliance to the financial procedures of the YLDF and the Donors).
6. Proper documentation of project information and data.
Reporting:
1. Submit requested reports for the activities completed in a timely manner. Including (Summary of the conducted activity, quantitative and qualitative data, photo and video documentation, challenges and recommendations).
2. The reports should be submitted in a period that does not exceed 3 days after the completion of the activity.
3. Submit any needed information or reports requested by the project team.
4. Submit requested reports using MS Office.
Qualifications, and experience required:
1. A recognized first degree or professional qualification in business administration, management, or a related field.
2. At least three years of relevant experience in field coordination and team supervision, preferably within projects focused on capacity building for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Youth Initiatives.
3. Proven track record in implementing capacity building interventions for CSOs and Youth Initiatives.
4. Good understanding of the humanitarian context and civil society landscape in Yemen.
5. In the absence of a university degree or professional qualification, strong practical experience in the above areas will be considered essential.

3. Ability to respond on short notice and plan and execute several activities at once.
4. Ability to work under pressure, as part of a team or independently, and meet deadlines consistently.
5. Able to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders as a representative of YLDF.
6. Strong interpersonal and communications skills required.
7. Integrity: Works with trustworthiness and integrity and has a clear commitment to YLDF core values and humanitarian principles.
8. Excellent level of computer proficiency.
